Chief Steve Stanford describes his leadership approach as servant-driven and transformational, grounded in consistency, character, and competency. The Assistant Chief will support operational leadership, accreditation alignment, internal affairs oversight, budget development, and strategic planning as the department grows.

Compensation includes a salary range of approximately 92,500 to 110,000, three weeks vacation at entry, certificate pay incentives, and participation in the Texas Municipal Retirement System with a two-to-one city match.

Bridgeport offers a small-town feel with strong law enforcement support, access to Lake Bridgeport and outdoor recreation, and proximity to Denton and the greater DFW region without daily metro congestion.
