Pausanias provides Athenian cult traditions of the Acropolis; Herodotus informs the autochthony motif; and Ovid’s Metamorphoses supplies the Arachne narrative. Athena’s role in law and justice follows Aeschylus’s Eumenides. Where traditions differ—judges of the contest, form of Poseidon’s gift, Erichthonius’s upbringing—the retelling merges variants into a unified, source-grounded cinematic chronology.
