Through Essie Berry’s journey in this world, she has known deep downfall and relentless disappointment for many years. The weight of betrayal, silence, and injustice followed her season after season, testing her spirit and shaking her faith. Yet she did not disappear. She endured.

For more than a decade, I carried the pain of what Steve Harvey did to me—pain that altered my life, wounded my name, and threatened to silence my voice. There were nights of tears, days of confusion, and years when justice felt far away. I cried tears of sorrow not because I was weak, but because I was human.

Now the time has come for the world to truly see who I am.

I am Essie Berry—an activist, a woman of courage, and a soldier for God. I stood when it would have been easier to fall. I survived when the system failed to protect me. I held on to truth when lies were louder than my voice.

This is not a story of defeat; this is a testimony of endurance. Out of pain came purpose. Out of tears came strength. Out of suffering came a calling to stand for justice—not only for myself, but for every voice that has been ignored, dismissed, or buried.

I will share my truth with the world. I will tell how I overcame. I will expose what was hidden. And I will continue to fight until justice is not just hoped for—but known.
