Coaching episodes are some of my favorites to record — and if the messages I get are any indication, they're some of yours to listen to. There's something that happens in a real, unscripted coaching conversation that you just can’t do in advance. I have no idea what the person is going to need at the moment and that’s what makes these conversations so authentic to what coaching really is! Just an actual human working through something real, in real time, with all the honest uncertainty and genuine clarity that comes with it.

In this episode, I'm joined by my friend Jessie Kwak — author, ghostwriter, and story coach — who came to this conversation at what I'd call a true pivot moment in her business. Jessie had built a successful ghostwriting practice, one that grew almost entirely through reputation and referrals, and yet something needed to change. The work she was doing could only scale so far, and she was ready to figure out what came next. She just didn't know which path to take — and that not-knowing was starting to feel like something was wrong with her. (Spoiler: nothing was wrong with her.)

What unfolded was one of those sessions where things start to click, one by one. We got into her business model, her natural gifts, and the real difference between being confused about your next move and being bad at what you do. By the end, Jessie went from feeling like she was standing in a field full of unclear game trails to having one obvious path forward.
