Episode 4 of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This Monday makes Episode 4 of Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Today’s Talk with Erika. This is the last episode for the month, but as we’ve all learned by now, Breast Cancer Awareness is Every. Single. Day. – for survivors and previvors.

Today I have three very special guests.

Doctor Carmen Calfa, M.D. is a board-certified breast medical oncologist and has been recognized for her clinical care and research. She completed Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship training in Hematology Oncology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Associate Director of Community Outreach for the Breast Program in Plantation at Sylvester. Dr Calfa works as part of a miultidisciplinary team of breast cancer experts and researchers.

Cindy Papale-Hammontree is a breast cancer survivor and three time author with more than 20 years experience and extensive knowledge in the health care industry as a patient care coordinator.

And our special guest star for our fourth episode, DeZi. DeZi is a singer and songwriter. She started singing when she was three and has been performing publicly since age four. She started traveling and singing in groups such as “Up with Kids,” “America Sings,” and even traveled with her elementary, middle and high school choirs. Today, we discuss her new song about her own battle with breast cancer.
