Lv: Rīgā bija pavasaris.
En: It was spring in Rīgā.

Lv: Ielas bija klusas, un dzīvnieki brīvi staigāja uz ielām, kur agrāk skanēja mašīnu troksnis.
En: The streets were quiet, and animals roamed freely where once the sound of cars was heard.

Lv: Laima, Raimonds un Jānis meklēja pajumti starp ēku drupām.
En: Laima, Raimonds, and Jānis were seeking shelter among the ruins of buildings.

Lv: Laima bija raizes pilna.
En: Laima was full of worry.
