E186 - Jill Scott: Inspire before you expire

Jill Scott is a former professional football player, namely playing for Everton and Manchester City. She was part of the winning team at Euro 2022 and has represented England in the Olympics multiple times. Jill is also known as ‘Queen of the Jungle’ after winning ‘I’m a Celeb Get Me Out of Here’ in 2022. In this episode, Jill, Jake and Damian discuss what Jill has learnt from an almost 20 year professional career in football. She shares the key lessons she’s discovered through her career, including how she has grown with the game and what makes a good manager.

Jill opens up about what her strict and obsessive routine looks like, how she found her strengths and the importance of learning through losing. “When I stepped over that line, I would kill to win the game”, although Jill has great confidence in her skills, this also meant that she had to deal with an immense amount of pressure. She discusses how she overcomes this pressure. In this episode, Jill offers great take-aways and lessons that can be taken from the pitch and applied to your everyday life.
