Et: Kevad Tartu internaadis algas rahulikult, kuid Mareki jaoks oli kõik uus ja võõras.
En: Spring in the Tartu boarding school began quietly, but for Marek, everything was new and foreign.

Et: Ta seisis suure hoone ees, mille kõrged aknad vaatasid sõbralikult üle, justkui pakkudes sooja vastuvõttu.
En: He stood in front of the large building with its tall windows gazing out warmly, as if offering a warm welcome.
