New York urban farmer Maya Marie talks about building your relationship to land, her Deep Routes educational project, irrigation and more.

She talks about farming Afro-Indigenous crops at East New York Farms, including trying her hand at growing rice and keeping the pollinators in mind. Maya gets into what she sees as the current challenges of growing food for urban and rural farmers and how to be flexible, and then she gives her best advice for finding places to garden when you don't own your own space.
