K. Scott Morley: Leadership Begins with Awareness

K. Scott Morley: Leadership Begins with Awareness

K. Scott Morely, West Point Graduate and retired Green Beret in the United States Army takes leadership beyond the uniform and instills in his life and his clients on a daily basis in his coaching practice with Azimuth Leadership. He believes that the number one characteristic of successful leaders is awareness. And with that he leverages the Birkman Assessment to bring that awareness to the surface with leaders and organizations he has the opportunity to impact.

In this conversation we discuss:

- Transitioning from the uniform to civilian sector

- Why the Birkman surpasses other assessments

- Why it's important to not only know your strengths, but weaknesses as well

- How this awareness serves you professionally and personally

- How awareness helps to build "honest conflict" into your culture
