How Catherine O’Donnell Went From Lab Tech To Award Winning Artist

Award winning Australian artist Catherine O'Donnell discusses her journey as an artist, the different mediums and techniques she uses in her work, and the inspirations behind it.

She started with formal art training later in life, initially working as a laboratory technician before transitioning to art while raising her four children.

In this in-depth interview, we learn about O’Donnells’ process, experiences that impacted her artistic practice and how she began exploring installation. Catherine candidly shares the hard truths she has had to learn in her art career and the importance of staying true to one's unique perspective.

We also touch on the practical logistics that come with creating installation works, such as transportation and storage considerations and learn some details about her dream art project.
