Story Transcript:

Sl: Pomlad je bila v polnem razcvetu, ko sta Tomaž in Nika prispela na Mednarodni čebelarski vrh v Ljubljani.
En: Spring was in full bloom when Tomaž and Nika arrived at the International Beekeeping Summit in Ljubljana.

Sl: Mesto je bilo polno vrveža in vonj po medu ter cvetlicah je napolnjeval zrak.
En: The city was bustling, and the air was filled with the scent of honey and flowers.

Sl: Nika je bila navdušena.
En: Nika was excited.

Sl: Vedno jo je zanimala narava, še posebej čebele.
En: She had always been interested in nature, especially bees.

Sl: Tomaž, njen prijatelj, pa se je že s težavo prebijal skozi množico.
En: Tomaž, her friend, was already struggling to make his way through the crowd.

Sl: Bil je nervozen.
En: He was nervous.

Sl: "Nika, niti ne vem, kako sem se dal prepričati v tole," je rekel Tomaž s tresočim glasom.
En: "Nika, I don’t even know how I let myself get talked into this," said Tomaž with a trembling voice.

Sl: "Ah, saj bo vse v redu," ga je vzpodbudila Nika.
En: "Ah, it will all be fine," encouraged Nika.

Sl: "Le poglej, koliko se lahko naučiva o čebelah.
En: "Just look at how much we can learn about bees.

Sl: Čudovita bitja so!
En: They are wonderful creatures!"

Sl: "Tomaž je uvidel priložnost.
En: Tomaž saw an opportunity.

Sl: Morda mu je danes dan, da premaga svoj strah.
En: Maybe today was the day for him to overcome his fear.

Sl: Želel je podpreti Niko, pa tudi sebi dokazati, da zmore.
En: He wanted to support Nika and also prove to himself that he could do it.

Sl: Ko sta se sprehodila mimo stojnic z barvitimi čebelarskimi oblekami in kozarci medu, so se ustavili pri šotoru, kjer je potekala čebelarska predstavitev.
En: As they walked past stalls with colorful beekeeping outfits and jars of honey, they stopped at a tent where a beekeeping presentation was taking place.

Sl: Presenečenje je obema vzbudilo srce, ko je organizator oznanil, da se začne praktična predstavitev.
En: Both of their hearts were surprised when the organizer announced the start of a practical demonstration.

Sl: "Nika, mislim, da sem se pomotoma prijavil na to," je zaskrbljeno rekel Tomaž.
En: "Nika, I think I accidentally signed up for this," Tomaž said worriedly.

Sl: A Nika ga je opogumljajoče prijela za roko.
En: But Nika reassuringly took his hand.

Sl: Vstopila sta v šotor.
En: They entered the tent.

Sl: Na pultu je stal velik čebelnjak in čebelar je začel razlagati.
En: On the counter stood a large hive and the beekeeper started to explain.

Sl: Medtem ko je Tomaž zadrževal dih, je skušal poslušati.
En: While Tomaž held his breath, he tried to listen.

Sl: Vse se je zdelo malo lažje, dokler čebela ni pristala na njegovem ramenu.
En: Everything felt a little easier until a bee landed on his shoulder.

Sl: Srce mu je poskočilo, a se je skušal pomiriti.
En: His heart jumped, but he tried to calm himself.

Sl: Vsi pogledi so bili uprti v njega.
En: All eyes were on him.

Sl: Tomaž je imel dve možnosti.
En: Tomaž had two choices.

Sl: Lahko bi stekel proč, priznal svoj strah in se sramoval pred Niko.
En: He could run away, admit his fear, and feel ashamed in front of Nika.

Sl: Ali pa bi premagal ta strah.
En: Or he could overcome that fear.

Sl: Globoko je vdihnil.
En: He took a deep breath.

Sl: Namesto, da bi čebelo odgnal, je ostal miren.
En: Instead of swatting the bee away, he remained calm.

Sl: In čebela je počasi odletela sama od sebe.
En: And the bee flew away on its own.

Sl: "Vidiš?
En: "See?"

Sl: " je dejala Nika s širokim nasmehom.
En: said Nika with a broad smile.

Sl: "Zmoreš!
En: "You can do it!"

Sl: "Tomaž je naenkrat začutil pogum, ki ga prej ni poznal.
En: Tomaž suddenly felt a courage he hadn’t known before.

Sl: Spoznal je vrednost soočenja s strahovi.
En: He realized the value of facing fears.

Sl: In vedel je, da ni sam v tem – ob strani mu je stala pogumna prijateljica.
En: And he knew he wasn’t alone in this – standing by him was his brave friend.

Sl: Ko sta zapuščala šotor, je sonce žarelo na nebu, Tomaž pa je imel občutek, da se je nekaj spremenilo.
En: As they left the tent, the sun was shining in the sky, and Tomaž felt like something had changed.

Sl: Amenitično čebele je premagal strah in postal korak bližje, da se sooča s čimerkoli, kar mu prinaša življenje.
En: By overcoming his fear of bees, he took a step closer to facing whatever life throws his way.
