Rev250-083 First Resolution on Independence - May 10, 1776

On May 10, 1776, the Continental Congress passes a pretty uncontroversial resolution asking colonies to form their own governments. A small committee then goes back and adds a lengthy preface saying that the reason for doing so is to get away from the tyranny of the king.
