#195 - Mike Sheahan - The GOAT of Journalism & Unearthing the Biggest Stories

Mike Sheahan is the former Chief Football Writer at the Herald Sun, the star of the must-watch TV Interview Show which was "Open Mike" and one of the most renowned sports Jounalist's of all time.

What an experience it was to sit down with a man who has revolutionised sports journalism so much, that they named a media centre in his honour! And boy did this not disappoint.

From the very start, Mike shared some of his most hairiest moments in the life of the biggest sports journalist in the country.

He shared the mysterious phone call he received one day that threatened if he ran into a certain player, his life may be at risk! Plus, the player who attempted to choke him, the coaches & players he didn't see eye to eye with & even the rival journalists and the pursuit of a scoop!

And speaking of a scoop...Mike unveiled the secrets of what it takes to unearth the biggest footballing stories. He shared the phone calls he needed to make, how rumours begin to swirl and the contacts you need to make to become the biggest name in the game!

More recently, Mike was ahead of his time in his must-watch TV phenomenon which was "Open Mike". We of course covered the infamous Mark Jackson interview along with the most memorable moments and the interviews he wish he did to this day.
