Lv: Ilze staigāja pa savas mājas dārza celiņu, kur rozā un baltās tulpes tikko bija uzplaukušas.
En: Ilze walked along the garden path of her house, where pink and white tulips had just bloomed.

Lv: Pavasara vēsma maigi kutināja vaigus, kad viņa ieraudzīja pastnieku pie vārtiem.
En: The spring breeze gently tickled her cheeks when she saw the mailman by the gate.

Lv: "Kas tas varētu būt?" viņa prātoja sev, ņemot nelielu, brūnu paciņu, kas nebija marķēta ar sūtītāja adresi.
