Rob Fessock served as a military officer before becoming a DC police officer — one of the most violent postings in American law enforcement. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, Rob breaks down what it was really like policing Washington DC, the gangs that made it one of the most dangerous cities in the country, and the calls he'll never forget. Then in 2011 he was deployed to Afghanistan where he worked alongside the Kabul City Police — responding to terrorist attacks, gathering evidence at bombing scenes and witnessing violence that changed him forever. When he came home the PTSD caught up with him — forcing him into retirement as a cop and pushing him into drug addiction.
