The Delphos Ring

In this episode of No Such Thing as Ghosts, we dive into the strange and unsettling story of the Delphos Ring – one of the most intriguing and hotly debated cases in paranormal history.

On a quiet Kansas farm in 1971, a teenager claimed to witness a glowing, silently hovering object in the night sky. By morning, a perfectly formed luminescent ring was etched into the ground where the craft allegedly appeared. The soil was hard, water-repellent, and oddly resistant to being disturbed. Over the years, investigators, skeptics, and believers have all taken their turn trying to explain what really happened.

In this episode, we explore:

1. The Night of the Sighting

The witness account, the conditions on the farm, and how the glowing ring was discovered.

2. The Physical Evidence

What multiple investigations found in the soil, why the ring behaved so strangely, and how it compares to other alleged landing traces.

3. Skeptics vs. Believers

From hoax theories and natural explanations to claims of a genuine close encounter – we lay out the strongest arguments on both sides.

4. Science, Memory, and Myth

How eyewitness testimony, media coverage, and time itself can transform a local oddity into a legendary case.

Was the Delphos Ring a genuine trace of something not-of-this-world, a misunderstood natural phenomenon, or an elaborate story that got out of hand?

Press play and decide for yourself.
