Episode 4 - Nagasaki, Aburatsu and Farewell to the Diamond Princess

In this episode of The Pissouri Two Travel Podcast, our Japanese cruise adventure takes us to two fascinating ports before we spend our final days aboard the Diamond Princess.

We begin in the historic city of Nagasaki, where a rainy day provides a fitting backdrop for visits to the Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park. Join us as we explore a city shaped by tragedy yet defined by resilience, remembrance and hope. Along the way, we discover charming trams, historic bridges, riverside walks and a heartfelt sail-away complete with a children's orchestra waving us goodbye.

Our journey then continues to the lesser-known port of Aburatsu, a welcoming coastal city on Japan's southern island of Kyushu. From local culture and scenic surroundings to the relaxed atmosphere of this charming port, we experience a different side of Japan away from the larger tourist destinations.

Finally, we enjoy a relaxing final sea day aboard the Diamond Princess as we reflect on the incredible experiences of the past two weeks. From farewell drinks with friends made on board to the traditional Baked Alaska parade, it's a fitting end to an unforgettable voyage before our adventure continues in Tokyo.
