1st Birthdays: Cute or Completely Unhinged?

The girls are fully in their summer era as the holidays start stacking up, but while everyone’s jetting off, Lauren’s facing a major Mum milestone as she waves goodbye to her daughter heading abroad without her for the very first time. To soften the blow, she’s booked a family holiday with her husband and son, who turns one while they’re away… although the birthday plans might be considered just a little bit OTT. Have parents started taking first birthdays too far?
