Morning Routine: 011

The common misconception about a routine is that it will make you feel tied down and not free, when really it’s just the opposite! You will feel more free, more alive, and have more success with a routine. We as humans need routine. We need structure. When we don’t have routine, we feel lost, sometimes unmotivated with no sense of direction.

It’s especially important to have structure and routine during transition. Transitions are a time of stepping into the unknown, stepping into something new. You experience change. And with change and a new experience you can feel at a loss, feel unsure. But when you have some type of routine during this time, you can feel more grounded and have a sense of direction.

Nikki shares about her morning routine and how she plans for her mornings the night before. She does things such as planning tasks for the following day, laying her gym clothes out, and filling her water bottle.
