For Chris Bane, life took an unexpected turn when his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 67.

The shock of the diagnosis stirred a passion within him to help find a cure.

Already having a background in charity work, it was the personal connection that propelled him towards Alzheimer's Research UK.

Chris saw the disease's devastating effects firsthand and was determined to help spark change.
