We wrap up my trip to Chicago on this episode as well as talking about some of the locations connected to Chicago and the great fire of 1871 that I recently traveled to.

After spending time boots on the ground in Chicago checking out old-world architecture, raised street levels, and buildings that don’t quite add up with the official timelines, I’m wrapping that trip up tonight and moving into the areas affected by the Great Fires of 1871.

This episode covers the Peshtigo Fire in Wisconsin and the fires that crossed into Menominee, Michigan. We’ll talk about what happened in those areas, the strange timing of multiple massive fires breaking out on the same night, and some of the impressive buildings that went up in the years that followed.

This one stays in that raw, on-the-road style as I continue documenting places where the official history and the physical evidence don’t line up.
