Episode 11 – The Universal Dream

In this episode of the Speaking with Elvis Podcast, Elvis Prince Tognia introduces the powerful concept of the Universal Dream, inspired by the deeper meaning behind the American Dream.

To understand the Universal Dream, Elvis revisits the true spirit of the American Dream by going back to the words of the United States Declaration of Independence, which affirms that every person has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

But what does that pursuit truly mean?

Over time, the American Dream has often been interpreted as material success or socioeconomic prosperity. Yet its deeper meaning is something far more profound: the freedom to pursue something meaningful—the realization of a worthy idea.

Drawing from the final chapter of his book The Power of Your One Thing, Elvis expands this idea into what he calls the Universal Dream. If the essence of the dream is the pursuit of a meaningful and worthy ideal, then it should not be limited to one country.

The Universal Dream simply means that any person, anywhere in the world, can pursue something meaningful that is unique to them—their one thing. And in doing so, they are living their own Universal Dream.
