Why orthodoxy does addicts little or no good. In mid-May, Bill and I sat down with Dave Brisbin. He's pastor at theeffect, a church founded by and for people in recovery from addiction. We recorded four episodes. The first episode in this series with Dave Brisbin tackles right doctrine (orthodoxy) vs right practice (orthopraxy) as experienced in addiction recovery. Misdefining and misunderstanding this concept has caused a lot of hangups, resentments, and cultural divisions. NOTE: We recorded four episodes with Pastor Dave. We usually use Zoom-like technology. These interviews were in person. We had three mics and five different cameras at work. We had severe audio and video difficulties that threatened our ability to release these episodes.
