The 1960 Woomera and Maralinga investigation placed unexplained lights inside one of Australia’s most sensitive weapons-testing environments, prompting interviews with police, military personnel, researchers and civilian witnesses.

The episode also revisits the 1978 disappearance of Frederick Valentich over Bass Strait. His final radio report described a strange object above his aircraft, but later researchers proposed celestial misidentification, pilot inexperience and distraction as possible explanations.
