Welcome, welcome, welcome to your 99th - NINETY NINTH - Wednesday-fresh instalment of the powerful, the savage, the almighty Distraction Pieces podcast. This week is a tag-team of sorts - it's the UK comedy gems David Earl & Joe Wilkinson! You probably know David Earl from his cringingly brilliant 'Brian Gittins' character, or 'Cumbo', and perhaps you've see Joe Wilkinson holding it down on '8 Out of 10 Cats' (and the Countdown cross-pollenation) and in various TV spots - well whether you do or not, now is your chance to get on a perfect level with the two of 'em, as Pip delves all the way into their backgrounds and presents in a lovely chat with a ton of awesome backstories, gossip, and the journey from the early days up to now and what the future holds. Naturally there is some good Ricky Gervais talk ('Derek' and so much more), UK comedy science as we hear from David and how Brian Gittins happened, and of course their new combined project 'Rovers'!
