"Swap Meet Shake Up"

On this episode of the I Heart Costa Mesa Show... the Swap Meet at the Fairgrounds is almost 50 years old! So we discuss all the new changes going on at the recently re-imagined Orange County Market Place. Now under new ownership, they've got big ideas to modernize the OC Market Place weekend experience, while still staying true to its historic, local roots.

They're re-opening Bob's Old-Fashioned Ice-Cream Stand, plus adding new live music, bespoke treasures, foodie finds, non-profit performances and fundraisers, plans to make it more kid-friendly... and much, much more!

We also have a frank discussion about the reduction in size, in recent years, and the struggles that modern-day retailers face in an online-shopping world.

Jeter's enthusiasm for both the history of the OC Market Place, along with all her fun ideas to liven up the experience, are a breath of fresh air! This episode definitely has us itching to go back and give that swap meet another try.
