Cycling champion Tom Schuler picks our album and he's joined by Mitch Teich as we review the 1982 album English Settlement by XTC! We start out asking Tom why he picked this particular record and dive into the band's deliberate transition from a hard-driving commercial sound to a more "pastoral" vibe. We chat about leader Andy Partridge’s struggles with stage fright and Valium addiction, which famously led the band to retire from touring at the height of their success.
