Zach Bitter on How to Run Faster and Mental Tricks To Crush Your Next Ultra

When it comes to the best of the best in ultrarunning, Zach Bitter is a name that undoubtedly is included in that list. Known for his incredibly fast times out on the trails and the track in ultra-distances, Zach has accomplished some incredible feats in the world of ultrarunning.

To name a few of his many accomplishments, Zach has broken the record for fastest 100 mile time at 11 hours, 19 minutes, and 13 seconds. He broke the 12 hour record for miles ran in that timeframe at 104.88 miles. And he is a three time National Champion, winning the 50 mile distance twice and the 100km distance once.

He is also a running coach who works with tons of athletes to help them hit their running goals and crush their races. In fact, Zach is my current running coach and helped me accomplish my first 100 mile finish! On top of that, Zach also hosts the Human Performance Outliers Podcast, where he features the world’s top athletes to share how their best tips and strategies for high performance.

Plus, he’s been featured on The Joe Rogan Podcast, and has been the coach to many influential athletes, such as Nick Bare.

So, to say the least, it was so special to have him on the Everyday Ultra podcast!
