Sometimes God places a need directly in our path—not because we can solve it alone, but because He wants us to take the first step.

In this episode, Allan shares the true story of a baby blue jay fledgling that became trapped nearly twenty feet high in a tree. South Florida Wildlife called for help, but Allan's twelve-foot ladder wasn't tall enough to reach the bird. Instead of giving up, he made one more call. Fire Rescue responded, safely brought the little blue jay down, and Allan transported it to South Florida Wildlife, where it was given another chance at life.

The lesson is simple: every rescue begins with one step of obedience. When we do what we can, God often provides the people, resources, and strength to accomplish what we cannot.

I couldn't reach that little blue jay by myself. My ladder wasn't tall enough. But God already had the solution. Fire Rescue became part of the rescue, and together we were able to save a life that otherwise may have been lost. That's how God often works in our own lives. He asks us to take the first step, and then He provides what we lack.

Jaggy reminds us that every life matters. Sometimes the smallest and weakest creatures teach us the greatest lessons about compassion, perseverance, and trusting God.

Tedi reminds us that God rarely calls us to stand alone. He places people in our path with different gifts and abilities so that together we can accomplish His purpose.

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us that every rescue begins with one step of faith. Help us to notice those You place in our path and give us the courage to act. When our abilities fall short, remind us that You are already preparing the people and resources needed to complete Your work. May our lives reflect Your compassion each and every day.
