Nolan Wells' Phone Showed His Mother WHAT?!

Nolan Wells' Phone Showed His Mother WHAT?!

Nolan Wells documented his whole life through his phone, so when his mother finally opened it after his death, whatever stared back at her became one of the questions this case can't seem to shake. Tonight's live breaks down the Nolan Wells timeline exactly as it stands — not the internet's version.

The 18-year-old football player from Ocean Springs, Mississippi went out to Horn Island with friends on the Fourth of July. He never made it back. His body surfaced in the water two days later, and the people who were there don't agree on what happened before that. A young woman says Nolan told her he was returning to the boat. His friends say he told them he was staying on the island with her. One of those statements is wrong, and nobody's explained which.

The sheriff ruled out foul play before the autopsy, toxicology, or digital evidence had been processed. The family flew Nolan's body out of state for a second opinion — a move that tells you they weren't satisfied. A viral video treated online as proof turned out to be something entirely different. Messages allegedly deleted from the phone are now in FBI hands, and with roughly two hundred people on a barrier island with no cameras or cell service, the entire case may come down to footage from strangers who haven't come forward yet.

Tony, Robin, and the live audience work through the contradictions, the phone, and the questions officials tried to shut down early — together, in real time.
