How Descartes proved you are real

How Descartes proved you are real

René Descartes: The Architect of Certainty – "I Think, Therefore I Am"

"How can you prove that everything isn't just a dream, a grand illusion, or the scheme of a 'malicious demon' dedicated solely to deceiving you? Could the world around you, your body, your past—even the most fundamental truths of geometry and mathematics—be one giant lie?

In this video, we join the famous journey of doubt undertaken by the 17th-century French philosopher René Descartes as he sought to rebuild the temple of human knowledge upon unshakable foundations. In this abyss of uncertainty, where every belief that could harbor even the slightest doubt is discarded, we examine the only solid rock Descartes found to stand upon: 'I think, therefore I am' (Cogito, ergo sum).

No matter how powerful or cunning the deceiving demon may be, the fact that there must be an 'I' or a 'thing' to be deceived remains perhaps the most famous thought in the history of Western philosophy. But is this philosophical formula truly enough to solve everything?

Do we only exist as long as we are thinking?

Is this 'self' we cherish merely a momentary point without a past?

If you are ready for a philosophical adventure that will reset everything you know, push the boundaries of skepticism, and make you question your very existence from the ground up, welcome to the video!
