Evening Edition: Nicaragua's President Says His Country Will 'Never Again' Hold Elections

Nicaraguan leader Daniel Ortega announced that his Central American country will no longer hold elections, effectively making him the president form decades to come. Ortega has remained in power since 2007 after previously governing during the 1980s. The Trump administration views the Ortega-Murillo government as a dictatorship and has imposed sanctions and travel restrictions on members of the government and their allies. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Andrés Martínez-Fernández, Senior Policy Analyst on Latin America in the Heritage Foundation's Allison Center for National Security, who says Nicaragua has been heading in this direction for awhile, and its Ortega's reaction to a wave of United States supported Latin American leaders being elected.
