In this rerelease episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Avery shares the story of her abusive marriage and the years she spent trying to make sense of a relationship filled with lies, infidelity, triangulation, and circular conversations.

As the relationship progressed, Avery found herself carrying the financial and emotional responsibilities of the family while her partner avoided accountability and blamed her for the problems she was trying to address. Every concern became proof that she was angry, dramatic, hypervigilant, or impossible to please.

Avery discusses the betrayal she uncovered, the hope that kept her trying, and the gradual realization that the calm she wanted could only exist when her partner was no longer in the home. When Avery finally ended the relationship, the abuse shifted into harassment, false accusations, custody threats, and other forms of post-separation control.
