How Nolan Wells' Phone Got Off That Island Without Him

An eighteen-year-old's phone left Horn Island on a sinking boat. The eighteen-year-old didn't. His friends had it. His mother didn't know.

Christine Wonsley found out her son was missing at 11 PM on July 4th — seven hours after his friends left the island. She found out they had his phone only because she went looking for it herself. When she got it back, the Snapchat history from that day was empty. Her son used Snapchat all the time.
