Travel More by Owning Less: Funding Family Adventures Through Minimalism | Amber Paul (EP458)

Travel More by Owning Less: Funding Family Adventures Through Minimalism | Amber Paul (EP458)

What if simplifying your home could actually open the door to more adventures? In this episode, Diane talks with travel enthusiast and content creator Amber Paul (@amberonpoints) about how embracing a "minimal-ish" lifestyle has helped her family prioritize travel over stuff. By keeping their home simple and "Airbnb-ready", they've created more opportunities to explore the world together. Amber also shares practical tips for maintaining a low-clutter home and explains how using credit card points and miles has made family travel much more affordable.

About Amber |

Amber Paul lives in Texas with her young family and (not young) husband. A former teacher and middle school assistant principal, she loves teaching others how to provide experiences for their families for less money. Whether that involves teaching how to earn and redeem points or showing others how to Airbnb their personal home while they travel (why not?) - she’s learned that anyone can travel for less.

They have been traveling on points for 11 years and will be taking their family on an European adventure for the second time this summer. When not traveling, she can be found eating Oreos and peanut butter, taking naps, or planning our next trip — all probably from her bed.
