#0401 - Vomit, Pain, Poppy, Lightning, Giant Cats, And Other Completely Normal Friday Activities - 07/31/2026

The Friday episode begins exactly the way every disaster movie starts: with Viktor being betrayed by his own digestive system. Out of nowhere, his stomach launches another surprise attack, forcing him into another night of projectile vomiting before he even has a chance to enjoy the fantasy of getting to bed early. Just when he thinks survival is possible, he realizes his truck keys have mysteriously vanished into another dimension. What follows is an hour-long descent into sleep-deprived madness as he tears apart his entire house, ransacks his truck, interrogates laundry baskets like they're criminal suspects, and slowly loses his grip on reality—only to discover the keys were peacefully sitting on the key holder exactly where they belonged the entire time. By then the damage is done. Sleep has fled the country, his back feels like it was hit with a folding chair, and he's somehow preparing for a road trip to Salt Lake City to see Poppy while wondering if he's about to become Patient Zero for whatever biological horror is currently occupying his stomach.

The insanity only escalates from there. A lottery winner complains that winning millions of dollars ruined his life because strangers kept asking him for money, prompting Viktor to contemplate immediately disappearing under a fake identity if he ever won. Then Mother Nature enters the chat as a truck driver on Interstate 15 gets struck by lightning, watches his vehicle completely shut down before bursting into flames, somehow escapes alive, and leaves everyone wondering if driving during a thunderstorm is secretly a Final Destination deleted scene. Meanwhile East Idaho is roasting under near triple-digit temperatures while Salt Lake threatens to become the surface of Mercury, forcing everyone to choose between spontaneous combustion and another six months of snow.

As if nature hadn't already declared war on humanity, the show detours into one of the most horrifying stories imaginable: a fish sauce factory abandoned for decades with one hundred massive tanks containing thousands upon thousands of gallons of rotting fermented fish sludge that has been marinating since the early 2000s. The smell has terrorized an entire community for years, creating what can only be described as Satan's seafood crockpot. Somehow this leads directly into flesh-eating bacteria in Florida that can melt your skin faster than your vacation plans, complete with horrifying medical photos that instantly convince everyone to avoid oysters forever. Between radioactive lettuce jokes, exploding stomachs, fish apocalypse juice, and skin-eating microbes, the episode unintentionally becomes the greatest anti-seafood campaign ever produced.

Things somehow become even weirder once Peaches enters the studio. The duo spends an alarming amount of time discussing projectile vomiting, aching backs, concert survival strategies, Poppy's surprisingly subtle Southern accent, protein pucks, mysterious gut problems, mushroom-cloud moons that are actually just the moon, soccer players being taped to extremely inappropriate household objects, nude beaches in Oregon, locker room old men, naked hikers, and the possibility that Peaches accidentally transforms into a werewolf every full moon. The conversations ricochet between medical emergencies, concert nostalgia, and absolute nonsense with the elegance of a shopping cart missing three wheels.

The legendary "Ask Us Almost Anything" segment unleashes pure listener chaos. Callers ask about kangaroos roaming Blackfoot, tigers hiding in Bingham County, pet monkeys, serval cats, Bengal cats worth thousands of dollars, dream concert festivals featuring Tool, Mudvayne, Nine Inch Nails, Primus, Ghost, Sleep Token, AC/DC, Linkin Park, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Poppy, and every other band imaginable. There are debates over the greatest concerts ever attended, discussions about Mountain America Center sound quality, concert safety improvements, fans passing out in the heat, and one listener proudly describing exotic animal collections that make Idaho sound less like a state and more like an unreleased Pokémon region. Another caller accidentally gets dumped from the air for asking an inappropriate question, proving once again that live radio remains gloriously unpredictable.

The show barrels toward the finish line with stories about beer flying through the air at a Gavin Adcock concert, Tool fans allegedly believing they're the smartest people alive, ICP turning venues into sticky Faygo war zones, and Becca arriving just in time to roast Viktor's inability to get ready for concerts faster than she can. By the end, the podcast has transformed into an unholy stew of stomach explosions, lightning strikes, fish-based chemical warfare, killer bacteria, lottery paranoia, naked beaches, giant cats, kangaroos, mosh pits, dream music festivals, radio call-in anarchy, and enough medical oversharing to make your family doctor file a restraining order. It's less of a radio show and more of a sleep-deprived fever dream where every bizarre headline on Earth was thrown into a blender, mixed with heavy metal, and somehow still managed to become the perfect kickoff to an absolutely unhinged Friday.
