What Lindsay Clancy's Nurse Told The Jury

What Lindsay Clancy's Nurse Told The Jury

The prosecution called more than seventy witnesses over fourteen days in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial — and some of the most damaging testimony for their own case came from their own witness stand. Dr. Jennifer Tufts, who prescribed twelve of Lindsay's thirty medications through telehealth-only appointments, admitted she never met her patient in person and never requested records from another clinic treating Lindsay at the same time. When defense attorney Kevin Reddington asked her directly, she said no. "Seriously?" he replied, before reading her own chart notes back to her — documentation of pressured speech, a possible mania symptom — which she then told the jury she didn't stand behind. Criminal defense attorney Bob Motta and retired FBI behavioral analyst Robin Dreeke both sat through it, and Tony Brueski combines their courtroom breakdowns into one episode. Psychiatric nurse practitioners followed, describing Lindsay pleading to change medications that were making her condition worse — while one nurse told prosecutors she had no concerns about postpartum psychosis at all. Patrick Clancy opened the prosecution's case, describing his wife's "best day" hours before the killings, then months of intrusive thoughts and a mounting list of prescriptions. This episode lays out what the jury actually heard from the Commonwealth's own witnesses, and whether it helped their case or handed the defense its argument.
