Roswell Gilbert

Roswell Gilbert

In 1985 Roswell Gilbert was convicted of murdering his wife of 51 years. The prosecution argued that he planned to kill his wife, who had suffered from Alzheimer’s and osteoporosis for years, while Gilbert’s defense described it as a “mercy killing.”

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss Roswell Gilbert and the murder of Emily Gilbert. The prosecution and defense offered up their evidence and their version of events. Roswell appeared to be pretty truthful in both interviews and in court. It was up to the jury and the judge to decide Roswell's fate.
