Why Merchant Navy Day still matters

Why Merchant Navy Day still matters

September 3 is Merchant Navy Day a chance to remember the seafarers who lost their lives at sea during wartime and celebrate the thousands who continue to keep the world moving today.

The Red Ensign, or “Red Duster”, will be flying across the country as people come together to mark the day.

In this episode of The Full Ahead Podcast, we’re joined by Ed Clark from The Seafarers’ Charity to find out what the charity does, the challenges facing seafarers today and how it supports people across the maritime world.

And, of course, why Merchant Navy Day remains so important.

So wear something red, fly the Red Duster — and join us for a special Full Ahead Podcast.
