About Kris Benson

Kris Benson is the Chief Investment Officer for Reliant Real Estate Management, the 17th largest self-storage operator in the U.S. in 2022. As CIO at Reliant, Kris is a member of the company's investment committee that is responsible for overseeing the company's new acquisitions. Kris also oversees Reliant's capital markets and investor relations teams.

In the last 18 months, the Reliant team has invested over $400 million in self-storage projects and raised over $200 million in equity, primarily from a substantial retail investor network. Self-storage provides a unique opportunity to invest in one of the most recession-resilient asset classes in real estate and take advantage of the institutional interest moving forward post-COVID. Reliant is raising equity for a $100 million equity fund focusing on value-added and stabilized self-storage assets across the U.S.
