You can start your AI second brain with a plain folder and a conversation. I explain how to use GPT-6 Astra in Codex to set it up, interview you and organise what you tell it into useful context about your work.

We go through what you want to be, do and have, how to talk through your ideas, and how ChatGPT/Codex and Claude Code can work from the same saved notes. You give each tool access to the same folder and ask it to read and update that context. Each app still has its own chat history and permissions.

I also show my Obsidian brain and explain the optional additions: connected apps, scheduled maintenance, computer use and access from your phone. Start with the computer you already have and add things as you need them.
