We're reviewing the first 10 Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey from J. Rieger & Co. in Kansas City, MO.The name J. Rieger dates back to a pre-prohibition established in 1887. In 1919 prohibition hit, and Alexander Rieger petitioned the courts for the right to claim his companies inventory as his personal collection, and would like to relocate it to his home. Federal Judge Faris agreed and called it his "PRIVATE STOCK", and Alexander Rieger were allowed to relocate it to his home in 1927. Nearly 100 years later, J. Rieger is a live and well, and for the first time is ready to release their very first 10 Year age stated Straight Bourbon Whiskey and decided it was only fitting to call it... PRIVATE STOCK! We are rolling strong into Bourbon Heritage Month, and what a better way to celebrate, then with a first, 10-year bourbon!
