#77 Admiral Byrd Lied? The Dark Truth Behind Operation Highjump | Part 2

For decades, the story of Admiral Richard Byrd and Operation Highjump has been used as evidence of a hidden world beneath Antarctica.

A secret expedition. A massive American military force. Nazi bases buried beneath the ice. UFO battles. A mysterious hole at the North Pole. And a supposed diary describing Byrd’s journey into a warm world inside the Earth.

But what happens when you follow the story back to the original documents?

In Part Two of our investigation into Operation Highjump, we separate the real Antarctic expedition from the mythology that grew around it. We examine what Byrd actually said, the famous “flying objects” quote that was mistranslated, the mysterious diary that has no original manuscript, the origins of the Hollow Earth and Agartha legends, Nazi Antarctica claims, the alleged UFO battle, and the real reason the U.S. Navy pulled out of Antarctica.

And then we follow the story even further.

Because Operation Highjump didn't end with a mysterious defeat. The Navy went back.

Again.

And again.

So how did a real 1946-47 military expedition involving 13 ships, 33 aircraft, and roughly 4,700 men become one of the biggest conspiracy theories of the modern era?

The answer may be stranger than the conspiracy itself.

Part Two of our investigation into Operation Highjump.

The truth is buried in the documents.
