Canadian Podcaster Mid-September Check In - Pitch Your Podcast via PodSummit and Pod The North, September's Podcast Spotlight

Episode 38 - Canadian Podcaster Mid-September Check In - Pitch Your Podcast via PodSummit and Pod The North, September's Podcast Spotlight

Canadian Podcaster Online Magazine, September 2026 Mid-Month Check-In

September brings another collection of Canadian podcasters, community projects, resources, and opportunities in the Canadian Podcaster Online Magazine.

Supporting Canadian Podcasters

The September update highlights Pod the North and Katie's work to create a Pod Pitch opportunity connected with Pod Summit in Calgary. Independent podcasters will have an opportunity to pitch their shows and potentially receive funding that can help cover the behind-the-scenes costs of producing a podcast.

The magazine also features a collection of Canadian podcasts covering small-town stories, the search for meaning and humanity, audacious living, sustainable habits, fatherhood, pro-democracy conversations, online business practices, hockey fandom, and working from home.

Each featured podcast receives space in the magazine, giving listeners an opportunity to discover Canadian creators and press play on their shows.

Free Resources for Podcasters

The episode highlights the free PodMatch monthly report, which provides information about independent podcasting and allows podcasters to see what is happening across the podcasting community.

Podcast For Free also gets a mention. The website collects free tools, services, products, and resources that can help people get started with podcasting. Listeners are encouraged to share free resources that should be added.

Preparing for November

With summer coming to an end, podcasters can start planning for National Podcast Post Month in November. The challenge encourages creators to publish a daily episode throughout the month.

Dave suggests preparing short episodes in advance and using the challenge as a way to build a regular content creation habit.

International Podcast Day arrives on September 29, providing another opportunity for podcasters to celebrate their shows and connect with their audiences.

Canadian podcasting grows through people sharing their voices, supporting independent creators, and creating opportunities for connection. The magazine continues that work by giving Canadian podcasters a free place to be discovered and encouraging listeners to support the people creating the shows they enjoy.

Thirty days to find your voice.

Make 30 episodes by November 30. Start a show, revive a feed, or experiment with a new format. The goal is not perfection. It is discovering what happens when you keep making.
