Tottenham - Home and Away Episode 109

In this short solo episode of Tottenham – Home and Away, Graeme looks back at two frustrating Spurs performances: the goalless draw against Everton and the 3-1 League Cup defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

First up, it’s the Everton match, watched with the Amsterdam Spurs supporters at Café Parck. Tottenham had plenty of the ball, dominated territory, and showed effort — but once again lacked quality and decisiveness in the final third. Four league games in, still no league goal, and the frustration around Spurs’ attacking play continues to grow.

Then we move on to Anfield, where Spurs were knocked out of the League Cup by Liverpool. Despite the result, there were some signs of life: more direct football, better chances created, Kudus getting 75 minutes, Tosin impressing on his first start, and Gallagher finally getting Spurs on the scoresheet against top-level opposition. But missed chances and defensive mistakes proved costly again.

Finally, Graeme previews the weekend’s home match against Aston Villa — a very early-season clash between 17th and 19th, with both sides still looking for their first league win. Can Spurs finally score in the league, lift the home crowd, and start turning performances into results?
