The Deconstruction of You | Episode 3: Letting Go to Let It Live | The Nevertheless Show with Bidemi Mark-Mordi

What if holding on is the very thing preventing what you built from becoming bigger than you?

In Episode 3 of The Deconstruction of You, Bidemi Mark-Mordi explores Letting Go to Let It Live, the difficult transition from control to stewardship.

Building something is one challenge. Letting someone else carry it is another.

This episode explores the Founder's Exit Problem, the difference between ownership and control, and why releasing operational control doesn't mean losing ownership.

Through the story of Elijah and Elisha in 2 Kings 2, we see a powerful model of succession. Elijah released the mantle without trying to control what Elisha would do with it. What was released didn't shrink. It multiplied.

In This Episode, You'll Discover:

• Why founders often struggle to release control
• The difference between ownership and operational control
• How gradual release creates leverage
• Why succession should begin before it becomes urgent
• How to let others operate differently without constantly correcting them
• Why grief is a normal part of releasing a season
• How to build something that can continue beyond your personal involvement

The goal isn't simply to let go. It's to let what you've built live.
