258 - Bumble Bee Murders - Brandon Rumbaugh & Lisa Gurrieri

In October of 2003, twenty year old Brandon Rumbaugh and his girlfriend, nineteen year old Lisa Gurrieri wanted to find a special way to celebrate their one year anniversary. When a trip to Disneyland was too costly, they decided to stay close to home. The couple decided to camp out beneath the stars in a small area north of Scottsdale, Arizona called Bumble Bee. Tucked into the Bradshaw mountains and just a few miles off I-17, it was the perfect spot to spend a romantic night.

When the couple failed to return, their families grew panicked. After more than thirty hours of silence, Brandon and Lisa were found dead, the victim of a grisly double homicide. According to police, it appeared as though someone walked up on the scene, found the couple sleeping in their sleeping bags, and opened fired with a .25 caliber pistol at close range. The killer, nor their motive, have ever been discovered.

However, new breakthroughs in DNA technology are paving a pathway forward and, according to the most recent statements from investigators, they may well be on the trail of identifying the illusive killer.....
