With new costume Pokémon, and plenty of Shinies to chase, there is plenty to keep us busy. It is an interesting time to celebrate as we are coming off the heels of major Niantic Layoffs and continuous in-game bugs. ZoëTwoDots nailed the mood on Twitter, with a stone faced celebration or the occasion. PokéStop Showcases have been added to the game but it didn’t take long for them to break. We visit the Known Issues page and review the multiple issues already plaguing the new feature. While this does look to be a fun new game loop, it is only as good as how it functions. Unfortunately, some can’t even see the Contests and others are having issues with their functionality. There was some excellent communication from the Wayfarer Team this week as they detailed their June AMA and Roadmap. With copious details being laid out in the forums, we only wish that we could see this type of communication from other areas of the game. As the popularity of Wayfarer grows, so does the amount of Wayfarer abuse that has been popping up. It stings even worse when you see creators celebrating the abuse, which makes you wonder what is actually going on in their heads.
