Trial Of Caleb Flynn Day 4: FBI Witnesses Found WHAT Behind Break-In?!

The alleged home-invasion entry point took center stage as Det. Zachary Farkus and FBI Special Agent Sarah Deamron testified in the Caleb Flynn trial. Farkus said he found no pry marks and no damage he considered consistent with the door being forced or kicked open from outside.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the death of his wife, Ashley Flynn. The defense maintains that an intruder killed Ashley during a burglary. Prosecutors allege Flynn staged the scene to make it appear that way.

Farkus told jurors he searched the attic with metal detectors and estimated that 70 to 80 percent was accessible. He also testified about tips sent to investigators, including one that led officers to Alleigha Botner. According to Farkus, camera evidence showed Botner's vehicle leave the residence where she was house-sitting on February 15, return at about 12:30 a.m. on February 16, and leave again later that morning. On cross, he acknowledged hearing about another tip involving a possible hit on Caleb Flynn that a different FBI agent pursued.

Deamron testified that she and Farkus interviewed Botner, who admitted a relationship with Flynn and later gave investigators a more complete account of the affair. Deamron also discussed a claw hammer taken from Flynn's workbench. She said testing found no paint on the tools, and on cross she acknowledged the lab report did not say that specific hammer was used to damage the door.
